Getting in touch

When you submit our enquiry form or confirm an enquiry in the assistant, your name, business name, email address, optional phone number and project details are sent securely through our website to Resend for email delivery. Enquiries go to hello@steelcitysites.co.uk, with a copy to our team’s Gmail inbox. We use these details to respond and discuss your project. The website does not store enquiry messages in its database; copies are held by our email providers and handled under their service policies. You can also contact us directly by email or WhatsApp.

Using the AI assistant

When you ask an AI question or send a chat message, your question, recent conversation and current project draft are sent to OpenAI to generate a reply. Contact details supplied in chat are also processed by OpenAI. The assistant uses GPT-5.6 Luna. We request that responses are not stored as retrievable API responses. OpenAI may process or retain data under its own service policies. Please do not put passwords, payment details or other sensitive information into the chat.

Chat history stays in this browser tab while the page is open. Our site does not save chat transcripts to its database. Chatting or preparing a brief does not send an enquiry. If you ask the assistant to send one, it displays the brief and contact details for your confirmation. Selecting Send my enquiry or replying “send it” to that confirmation submits those details through our email delivery service. You can also use the enquiry form, WhatsApp or email.

Website operation and abuse prevention

Our hosting provider processes the network information needed to serve the website. To limit misuse of the enquiry form and AI assistant, the site keeps short-lived request counts associated with a hashed network address, plus an overall daily count. Raw IP addresses, enquiry messages and chat messages are not stored in that database. Expired counters are cleared during subsequent requests.

We do not add advertising trackers or analytics cookies to this site. External sites, email apps and WhatsApp operate under their own privacy policies.
